Paris best coffee guide 2017

If you follow me on Instagram 😉 , you’d know that what one moments I enjoy the most though out my day, is when I drink my morning or afternoon coffee (oui, I normally like to have two during the day!)

Having lived in Paris for quite some time, I can tell the difference between the tourist trap places and the local ones. This guide is created exactly with the purpose to help you arrive to the really great destinations for a good coffee place, some of them have been there for a couple of years and other ones just opened last month, like my new favorite Peonies or BigLove caffe.

After many caffeine and of course many many cookies and pastries, here it is: The first (and not the last one) Chicmuse coffee guide!

Special thanks to Mathieu for joining my little Parisian walk around and helping with some of the pictures 🙂

3 Rue Neuve Popincourt, 75011 Paris, France
8:30AM-4:30PM, closed on Tuedays
Metro : Oberkampf, Parmentier

I first discover this coffee with my friend Carin back in April. We intended to go only for a espresso or maybe a small breakfast, but when we saw all the amazing options (like their amazing banana bread!) we couldn’t resist and ended up having a bit more of the initial plan. This coffee is great for when you need a cozy place to hang out with a friend or you are just in the mood for a great macchiato.

12 Rue Perrée, 75003 Paris, France
9AM–7PM , closed Sunday and Monday
Metro : Temple, République

Having lived in the 7ème arrondissement and staying most of my time in the rive gauche, I never knew all the cool places that were waiting for me on the other side. The broken arm was definitely a very pleasant discovery. They open a concept store with the same name just next door, there you can find some of the newest Vetements or even some special collaborations with brands like Nike.

I recommend you to try their amazing and very beautiful cheescake with an Americano! They also serve certain types of juices and a nice ginger-lemon infusion if you are looking for a more healthy option.

81 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, 75010 Paris, France
9AM–8PM , closed on Monday
Metro : Château d’Eau

My most recent discovery is Peonies, the fist flower and coffee shop in Paris. The concept and decoration are beautiful. Having worked with an amazing team, owner (and barista of the place) Clementine Lévy managed to create a perfect spot that transmits as well her personality and likes.

If you are in town and looking for a goof matcha tea latte and Japanese pancakes, go there and don’t forget this place is perfect for a lovely picture.  They also do flower workshops in the lower lavel so don’t forget to ask for more info while there!

31-33 Rue Juliette Dodu, 75010 Paris, France
8AM–10PM everyday
Metro : Colonel Fabien

Living near Canal St Martin over the last year has allowed me to discover the area. That is how I fist stumble upon La Fontaine de Belleville. Located in a lovely corner some blocks away from the canal, you can enjoy a quick espresso or maybe try their delicious pain aux épices, either way you will feel it was a good idea to go.

What I like the most about it, is that they offer a very early petit dej but also they close quite late so you can enjoy some of their selection of wine and good charcuterie.

24 rue des Vinaigriers , 75010 Paris, France
Metro : Jacques Bonsergent, République

I remember when I was first introduced to this coffee, it was cold weather and it fit perfectly to enjoy some quiet time.

Their coffee is really good and they also serve fresh orange and carrot juice. Plus all their cookies are really fresh and ready to be eaten in less than 5min (at least by me :p)

The place serve as a co-working space as well where you can pay by the hour to enjoy different amenities.

5 Rue Villedo , 75001 Paris, France
8:30AM–5PM, closed on Sundays
Metro : Pyramides

10 Rue de la Grange aux Belles, 75010, Paris
8/9AM–5/6PM depending on day
Metro : Jacques Bonsergent

Probably my favorite latte in Paris, the taste of this coffee is just amazing. Plus if you arrive early be sure to ask for their granola and yogurt bowl (pure love!)

51 Gallerie de Montpensier , 75004 Paris, France
10AM–5/6PM depending on day
Metro : Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre

109 Rue Amelot , 75011 Paris, France
Metro : Filles du Calvaire

They first image it comes to mind when you hear Kitsuné is a cute little fox silhouette and from there you can have a whole Universe of diversified products and services. From apparel to coffee and music.

Go to the first location if you want to enjoy a nice walk around Palais Royal on a chilly afternoon and then enjoy a good cup of coffee. They also do ice cream over the summer. Tip: Fox cookies are super cute but the ones with nuts are yummier!

30 Rue Debelleyme , 75003 Paris, France
9AM–6PM and 7PM to 11PM for dinner and drinks time
Metro : Filles du Calvaire

Along with Peonies, this is a recent addition to my list of favorites. Not only they have the best Ricotta and blueberries pancakes I’ve ever tried in Paris but also their selection of teas and coffee combinations are wonderful.

Tip: Go there with some friends at night to enjoy wine and good Pizza too!

Bonne dégustation !

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally educative
and engaging, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
The problem is something that not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about.

I am very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something relating to

Hey there! Quick question that’s totally off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my apple iphone.
I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this issue.
If you have any suggestions, please share. Thanks!
