My first Judith Leiber

I remember I saw a Judith Leiber bag for the first time in a vintage Harper’s Bazaar editorial, and from then on, I became obsessed with all their designs every season. Sparkly crystal figures perfectly detailed and handmade that makes them jewels themselves. I went back in history and started recognizing them in so many glamourous events. I even read how almost every First Lady wears  to the presidential inauguration ceremonies.
It wasn’t until one year ago, that I discovered this little cat had been just made, and with all my feline and catlike love, this “Jinx the Cat” Minaudiere became my dream clutch. This year, exactly on my birthday, my mom  gave me a little box, and suddenly diamond sparkles and a splash of colors – those blue eyes-  completely hypnotized me. She had the luck to find it at SaksFifthAvenue in Mexico City and because she knew about it, she gave me this huge surprise.
Thank you for the most perfect bag mom!

Always, when I see one of these Judith Leiber animal clutches, I think of that "Sex and the City"-episode where Carrie gets one from Mr. Big, and she tells him for the first time that she loves him.
