Cactus de Cartier

July 2016, Marrakech, Morocco.

This July, Cartier invited us on yet another unforgettable trip. To add to the excitement we were only made aware a few days before our departure date that the Cactus de Cartier collection release would take place in Marrakech. A standard trip to Morocco would usually include an exotic tour around the souks with some traditional couscous or tajin. However, in typical Cartier maison fashion, the events were far out of the ordinary. We continued on past Charles de Gaulle airport much to our surprise, and headed directly to a private lounge to have macarons and tea at Le Bourget airport.

With no check-in required, the pilots suddenly invited us to board private Cartier jets greeting us with  none other than their own Cartier champagne. A couple of hours later, two planes set off with twelve guests on route to Morocco. Upon arrival we were greeted with morroccan mint tea at the airport, and then taken to our own private villa with an ideal summer interior decor and complete with a dreamy swimming pool.

The next couple of days consisted of discovering oasis like spots in the middle of the desert. Driving outside Marrakech with friends while listening to a Cactus de Cartier-themed playlist. It suddenly became the dream holiday we had been longing and looking forward to the whole year.

Along our various stops around Morocco, we began discovering the collection inspired by these same surroundings. Some of my favorite treasures to shoot in the Moroccan desert were a gold oversized cuff immersed in emeralds, chrysoprase beads and diamonds resembling a cactus. The necklace embedded with gold spheres, emeralds and diamonds in the form of flowers was another stand out piece for me.

As a way to say our final goodbyes to this incredible experience the Cartier team invited us on a potentially very early breakfast: it was a 5am wake up call to enjoy a beautiful breakfast in the sky aboard a hot air balloon! A true privilege to spend time amongst friends in such an intimate and relaxed tour soaking up the views of Morocco from the sky. It was most definitely the most memorable sunrise of my life!

Thank you Cartier and your amazing team  for yet another summer adventure that we will remember with such fond souvenirs.

There are actually awesome modifications on the structure of this website, I certainly like that! My website is on the subject of vshare market download and there are plenty of things to be done, I’m yet still a beginner in web page design. Thanks!
