Sometimes there are certain moments in life when you don’t know if what you are living is actually real and happening to you or maybe just a dream.
Last tuesday night I had one of those moments. I was invited to be part of one of the greatest events during the festival of Cannes, the AMFAR gala. I had the pleasure to be hosted by Bulgari as one of their guests and live the whole experience, from the auction to the after party at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc Antibes.
The event was just the perfect hub for personalities who were attending the festival during the previous days. Art collectors and supporters of the cause that AMFAR stands for, were also there celebrating and getting in the mood for the auction to start.
To me, the most important part of this event was the effort people put towards creating the best possible night in order for the attendees to feel truly special.
The success of the night was when the Damien Hirst piece (behind me and Carine in the first picture), was sold for 15 million. The whole room exploded with excitement when at the end of the night it was announced how much money the event raised and that it had surpassed the previous years. In the end all this effort is directed to an important cause which is to support AIDS research and HIV prevention, treatment and education.

Thank you for such wonderful experience Bulgari!
